Why is it critical to keep the cassettes in order?
One of the first steps you’ll come to after turning off the DC power is racking out the BNR and removing the cassettes. Some stores keep these cassettes numbered, sometimes you’ll find them without any labels on top, either way it is critical to keep them in order and put them back exactly as they were before. If you do not, the BNR will deposit notes into the wrong cassettes and will mix up all their cash, which will happen when the manager runs their tests at the end.
Remove each cassette and place on the floor away from the machine, keeping the same order they were in the rack. One of the cassettes might be locked into place - this is the deposit cassette and requires the manager to unlock it. Do not stack the cassettes or place them randomly. Towards the end of the PM process, you will put them back into the rack in the exact same slots they were in to begin with.
